Shipping Policy

For your protection and Flag Desk's, all orders are reviewed to verify for accuracy and validity before shipping.

  1. Orders for flags and flagpole components generally can take 1 - 2 days to process. Exceptions apply for special fabrications (custom flags, etc.), or items not in stock.
  2. Orders for flagpoles, if not in stock, may require a lead time of 4 to 6 weeks for fabrication depending upon the flagpole specifications.
  3. After review of your order, we will notify you of the estimated shipment date.

Flag Desk reserves the right to choose the shipping method based on cost. Most small package orders are shipped UPS, but we also use United States Postal Service (USPS), FedEx and SpeeDee delivery where available.

If your shipping address does not qualify for our Free Shipping (see below), we will notify you prior to processing your order.

Flag Desk ships Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Central Time (CT), subject to holidays. Orders are shipped only on these business days. Orders and correspondence received on Saturday and Sunday will be addressed/shipped during the next business week.

Most commercial flagpoles must be shipped less than truckload (LTL). LTL shipping rates are valid within the contiguous United States only. Flag Desk retains the right to refuse an order if (i) items requested are not available and/or (ii) if shipping charges have an unexpected increase in rate which cannot be absorbed into the cost of the sale. If this is the case, Flag Desk will notify you prior to processing your order.

Free Shipping on orders over $100 only applies to orders entered on Flag Desk website: Some restrictions apply, see below for details.

Free Shipping on orders over $100 applies to the 48 U.S. contiguous states only, and excludes Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories (Puerto Rico), APOs, and PO Boxes.

Flag Desk can ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories (Puerto Rico), and APOs, but this will require a special order with freight cost applied to the order.

Other restrictions exclude shipping addresses over bodies of water, desert and mountainous regions (islands, mountains & very hard to reach rural areas). Ferries, bridge toll costs and any extra fees may be the sole responsibility of the customer.

Free Shipping on orders over $100 does not apply to expedited shipping. If you require expedited shipping, you will be notified of the additional cost options available. We offer expedited shipping services including 3-Day Select, 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air (carrier rates apply).

We reserve the right to turn down any order for any reason. Also, we reserve the right to turn down any order due to extreme delivery issues that require additional cost.

Flagpole Shipments

Flagpoles, due to their length, are shipped by common LTL carriers. The carrier's responsibility ends at the delivery point or loading dock. Drivers are not responsible for the loading or unloading of freight; however, many drivers will assist.

Flagpole orders require a contact name and phone number to provide the carrier details to arrange delivery coordination. At time of flagpole shipment, Flag Desk will provide shipping details, including carrier, and tracking information. This will enable the receiver to check on shipment status while in transit.

Flag Desk and our carriers do not make any guarantees as to the time or day of delivery. However, Flag Desk will provide an estimated ship date. Also, LTL drivers usually contact you 48 hours in advance to arrange a delivery time and specifically where to unload the flagpole.

Taking Delivery of Flagpoles

Our carriers require an adult to be present for delivery. Inspection of the flagpole at time of delivery is critically important.

  1. Always inspect the packaging and boxes for damage when the flagpole arrives at your location.
  2. Any damage or missing pieces must be reported to the driver and noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery.
  3. We recommend taking photos of any carton damage.
Storage of Flagpole Shafts (After Delivery)

Read Warning Labels about flagpole wrapping & unwrapping that are prominently displayed on the carton tubes. Flagpole shafts are wrapped in a craft paper to protect the finish while in transit. Also, the flagpole is placed in a heavy cardboard tube to prevent damage while in transit. We strongly recommend immediately removing the flagpole shaft from shipping tube, unwrapping the paper and storing as follows:

  1. Store indoors, if at all possible.
  2. For outdoor storage, the flagpole shafts must be unwrapped from shipping tube & paper and elevated off the ground (i.e., on sawhorses).

The proper storage is essential to prevent any chance for the flagpole shaft to come in contact with moisture while sitting in the paper carton (this carton with water will stain the flagpole).

In particular, Satin Aluminum flagpole shafts can easily stain if allowed to remain in contact with wet or damp wrappings. If there is any sign of moisture, immediately remove the shaft from the tube, unwrap and dry immediately.

Flag Desk is not responsible for storage of any flagpole shafts and is not responsible for any damage or staining that may occur in storage.
