What is Wind Speed?

Wind Speed is the 3-Second Gust Wind Speed in miles per hour at 33 ft above ground level. Wind speeds correspond to approximately a 7% probability of exceedance in 50 years (annual exceedance probability = 0.00143, MRI = 700 years). This is also known as the Allowable Stress Design Wind Speed (V_asd).
