Anodized Finish: A finish achieved by immersing the flagpole into an acid solution and passing a direct current through the material in such a manner as to form a durable oxide film on the surface of the flagpole shaft. The purpose is to increase resistance to corrosion and abrasion. This process may result in color variations where there are chemical or physical differences on the flagpole shaft or between parts of the flagpole castings. An anodized finish can be attained in clear, black or various shades of bronze. Standard finishes may be found in our Flagpole Finishes Chart.
Butt Diameter: The base diameter of the flagpole.

Constructed of 1/8" and/or 3/16" stainless steel aircraft cable incorporating a stainless steel swivel to minimize the effect of unraveling due to the rotation of the truck assembly. These standard cable assemblies are designed for flagpoles with a winch installed at 5' above grade. See Cable Assemblies
Cam Action Cleat: Internal locking system at the bottom of the flagpole which holds the halyard (or rope) in place. The cam action cleat is secured onto a 1 1/2" x 3 3/8" aluminum block with two #10-32NC stainless steel pan head screws. Recommended maximum rope diameter is 5/16". See Cam Action Cleats
